About Us
At the heart of Gravitas Property Group are its two co-founders and directors Craig Mitchell and Alan King, with over 50 years of property construction and development experience between them.
Throughout that time they have started up 3 separate property and construction businesses, completed development projects exceeding £3 billion in value, won 27 industry awards, and have over 100 staff and contractors at work currently on various projects.

Craig Mitchell – MCIOB
Before founding Gravitas Contracts Ltd in 2013 Craig had worked within the construction industry for nearly 30 years. His more recent roles include that of a Contracts Manager at Beard Construction and Janine Stone, followed by the position of Development Director at City Sq Developments in London.
Craig’s experience includes delivering highly successful projects from prestigious private residential commissions to refurbishing listed buildings, to luxury hotels and complex builds in both public and private sectors.
He has a strong focus on customer service and teamwork, believes in honest and transparent communication and strives to deliver projects that out-perform our clients’ expectations on every level.
ALAN KING – MSc, BEng (Hons), MAPM, AMCIBSE, MIET
Alan is a qualified Engineer with an MSc in Intelligent Buildings and over 20 years technical & project management experience, along with knowledge in start-ups, M&A and emerging technologies. As well as Gravitas Property Group he is also the founder of the Syntegra Group and MD of BSG Ltd.
He has core experience in property investment strategies, low carbon building design, intelligent building technologies, specialist planning reports and high-end Hotel design.
He has won a number of industry awards and continues to be supported by the Goldman Sachs 10k scheme since 2013. He is also the Author of: Reduce Your CO2 Emissions and Increase Your Bottom Line, published in 2014.
